AsReader's RecoHand UHF RFID scanner is the only Wearable RFID Reader of its kind that allows users to get reliable one-on-one scans without misreading other nearby tags. Usually, when scanning UHF RFD tags, it is nearly impossible to read just one tag, but with this new technology, users can simply touch the intended UHF RFID tag and it will scan only that tag, ignoring all the stray tags around it. The RecoHand Scanner is a great tool for use in warehouses, healthcare facilities or factories, as well as stores, where tagged items are picked according to orders, shelved, sorted, inspected or packed or other applications where precise one-to-one scanning is needed.
RecoHand was designed for rugged warehouse environments where workers handle products or assets. The RecoHand is designed to only read tags within about 3/4 inch (2 centimeters), which means users need to touch (or nearly touch) a tagged object with their gloved hand to read the unique ID on the tag. By doing so, they pinpoint the read to an individual item, even when it may be surrounded by other RFID tags. Until now, picking has been a two-part process where workers grab the box, then read it with a wearable or handheld barcode scanner). Now, as the item is picked up, the wearable RecoHand is reading the existing RFID tag as the employee grabs it — in one motion improving practical use efficiency rates by 50%.
RecoHand connects to Bluetooth-enabled phones or tablets where the each scan is visible in your scanning app. The small USB-C rechargeable lithium ion battery-powered reader is tucked into the glove pocket and worn on the back of the hand.
The RecoHand glove is made of the same strong material as professional golf gloves and is adjustable for a perfect and comfortable fit. The customized glove has a specialized antenna design woven into the conductive fabric that only reads tags at the very short range (typically 3/4" / 2 cm).
[Important] Unique numbered UHF RFID tags (sold separately) are required to be adhered on each item prior to the RecoHand use.
