AsReader's unique and portable ASR-P252B UHF RFID Paddle can read RF tags and scan barcodes in high or narrow spaces when attached to an extension pole. As scanning technology becomes increasingly sophisticated, some places where data lies hidden are still hard to reach—such as items between metal shelves, high up near the ceiling, or even items located completely out-of-reach on a truck, many feet off the ground. The paddle mechanism also has settings to turn down the power, to avoid scanning stray tags or tags between the user and the target. There are two, quarter-inch threaded “camera mounts” on the device that allow the end-user to extend the reach another 10+ feet (3m+) using an extension-pole when they want to reach up and only read a top shelf or items that are way out-of-reach, with or without reading all the tags between, like most readers would do. Connect to your device using Bluetooth.

With a max output power of 30dBm (1 Watt) RAIN UHF RFID tags can be read up to 26 feet (7.8m), depending on the tags and environment. The circular antenna allows you to utilize the 360° aperture to read all directions the ability to receive signals from any polarization orientation allows the antenna to capture more energy from the RFID tag, resulting in a stronger and more reliable signal.

When in RFID Mode the RFID antenna will read approximately 400 tags/sec up to 26 feet depending on RF Tag type, settings, and operating environment. When in Barcode Mode, the CMOS Sensor scans standard 1D/2D barcodes from approximately 2.5 to 55 inches (65mm to 1400mm) away depending on barcode size and type. Drop-tested and IP54-rated, this scanner solution is designed to hold up under harsh environments.

While in RFID Mode the removable 3400mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery will last approximately 2 hours depending on the scan settings. In Barcode Mode, it will last approximately 28 hours between charging (depending on your settings: sound, illumination, vibration, etc.) The scanner will fully charge in approximately 5 hours and can be charged using the Magnet Charging Cable included in this kit (note: the wall AC Adapter is not included and is recommended to have minimum 5V/2A or more output). FCC/CE/RoHS certified, the scanner can be operated from 14°F to 113°F (-10°C to 45°C) at 20% to 85%RH (however, please charge at 32°F/0°C or more). The LED lights on the scanner identify various levels of operating status (refer to User Manual for indicators).

This device is IP54 rated which means the ASR-P252B Paddle Scanner offers protection against limited dust ingress and water spray from any direction. It's suitable for indoor environments or occasional outdoor use in less demanding situations, like light rain or splashes, but should not be used in heavy water exposure conditions. 
2. The Charging cable has a built-in magnet that may erase the data on magnetic cards (ie credit cards). To protect your data keep more than 3.9in/10cm away from this magnet.
